Middletown Road is a local station of the IRT Pelham Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Middletown Road and Westchester Avenue in the Bronx, it is served by the 6 train at all times except weekdays in the peak direction. During those times, the <6> train replaces the 6; Manhattan-bound in the morning and Pelham Bay Park-bound in the afternoon and early evening.

It resembles other elevated stations along the line: it has a wood mezzanine and no windscreens along the two side platform's edges. There are old signs and old-style lights that are still in working order. The mezzanine is very dim, lit only with the old-style lights. The only modern touch is sodium lights at the ends of the platforms. The south end is an interesting arrangement of the subway line being over a street bridge, which is over the Hutchinson River Parkway. South of the station are track leads to Westchester Yard, which is the main yard for all 6 & <6> service.
